CLINTON D. FLAGG

Mr. Flagg is a highly experienced AV rated attorney with nearly 30 years of experience representing clients in a wide range of legal matters. After 18 years as a named partner in a law firm with offices throughout the State of Florida, Mr. Flagg opened his own practice on September 1, 1999. He continues to represent the same principal clients providing legal expertise in numerous diversified fields.

Mr. Flagg earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Wake Forest University in 1977 and was awarded his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1980. He is a member of the Miami-Dade County, Florida and American Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in all state courts and is a member of the Trial Bar of the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida. He is also admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

JOHN R. BUCHHOLZ
Mr. Buchholz joined the firm in August 2007. He was a partner of Mr.Flagg’s when both were at another Miami law firm. Mr. Buchholz has over 20 years of experience in the legal field practicing insurance defense litigation. He has practiced in the areas of torts, transportation law, automobile liability, negligent security, products and premises liability. In addition, he has experience in cases involving wrongful death, legal malpractice and breach of contract actions. He has extensive trial experience and brings with him to the firm long-standing clients such as Winn Dixie Stores, Miami-Dade County (Aviation Department); La Capitale Assurance, U-Haul and the City of Coral Gables, Florida.

Mr. Buchholz earned his undergraduate degrees from Bowling Green State University in Education and from Florida International University in Criminal Justice. He was awarded his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami in 1986.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Buchholz was employed for eleven years in law enforcement with the Miami-Dade Police Department which gives him special insight into legal issues concerning negligent security, premises liability and automobile liability matters.

Mr. Buchholz is admitted to practice law in the States of Florida and Colorado. He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Civil Trial Law. In addition, he is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy – Florida Chapter. He is a member of the South Florida Claims Association. Mr. Buchholz is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed among Florida’s top 100 lawyers by 2008 Florida Super Lawyers, a list comprised from a poll of fellow Florida lawyers.

SUSANA C. NUNEZ
Ms. Nunez joined the firm in August, 2007. She had been associated with John R. Buchholz, Esq. at prior law firms. Mr. Nunez, who is fluent in Spanish, has nine years of legal experience, practicing in the areas of liability defense, insurance coverage, and appellate matters.

She earned both her graduate and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Florida where she was awarded the Book Award for Legal Drafting.

Ms. Nunez is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and in the United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida.

CAROL A. FENELLO
Ms. Fenello joined the firm in January 2004. She is an AV rated attorney with over 25 years experience representing clients in matters ranging from complex commercial litigation to product liability, employment law and insurance coverage and defense. Ms. Fenello practiced with a major Miami litigation firm for 14 years, including seven years as a partner of the firm. She then served as Vice President and Senior Litigation Counsel for J. I. Kislak Mortgage Corporation for eight years.

Ms. Fenello is a graduate of Skidmore College and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida.

LEGAL NURSE CONSULTANT

PATRICIA GLASS, RN
Ms. Glass has over 12 years of experience as a Legal Nurse Consultant. She has worked on cases in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home litigation and product liability. Ms. Glass previously worked with Mr. Flagg, Mr. Buchholz, and Ms. Nunez in other law firms. She joined the firm in August 2007.

She is a graduate of Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Miami, Florida. She has more than 25 years of nursing experience in areas which include orthopedics, neurosurgery, general med/surg and I.V. therapy. She served on several hospital committees, including the Policies and Procedures Committee, which was responsible for writing and updating hospital policies and procedures to conform with JCAH requirements. In addition, she worked for several years performing utilization review for insurance companies.

Her responsibilities include detailed review of all plainfiff/claimant medical records and other pertinent information, such as employment and academic records. She then prepares a comprehensive summary of the records. Her analysis is utilized by the attorneys to determine the merits of the case and to prepare for depositions, mediations and trial. She conducts research of the medical literature when necessary. In addition, she provides the initial contact and follow-up communication with medical experts, as well as experts in other fields who are able to assist in the defense of the case. She collaborates with the attorneys in preparing and analyzing complaints, answers, interrogatories, depositions, and trial outlines, queries for direct and cross-examination, expert witness lists, document production requests and status reports.

LITIGATION SUPPORT STAFF

The firm employs a highly skilled support staff of legal assistants and clerical personnel, headed up by Marlene Arel, the firm's Legal Administrator and Paralegal of 20 years. Many of the firm's employees are bilingual which facilitates the handling of matters in diverse communities throughout the state.
